Tarrant County Public Health today reported three COVID-19 deaths. Tarrant County now has a total of 262 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 virus. Public Health reported 634 new positive cases for a total of 17,334; 7,730 people have recovered. The City of River Oaks is reporting 2 new cases for a total of 56 cases, 22 recoveries and 1 death resulting in 33 active cases. Texas now has more than 240,000 cases and more than 3,000 deaths. More than 122,000 Texans have recovered. More than 2.6 million tests have been conducted in Texas. There are now more than 3 million confirmed cases and more than 133,000 deaths in all 50 states. More than 983,000 people have recovered from the virus. Commercial labs and state and local public health labs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia are currently using COVID-19 diagnostic tests. More than 38.8 million COVID-19 tests have been conducted in the U.S. Tarrant County Public Health advises residents to stay home as much as possible; engage only in essential activities; and always maintain social distancing. If you do go out, cover your mouth and nose with a mask or scarf. Older adults and people of any age with serious or chronic medical conditions should cancel or postpone nonessential travel.
