Crime District Calls Election (Notice Of Election Attached)

River Oaks Crime Control and Prevention District (CCPD) has called an election pursuant to Section 363.251 “Referendum Authorized” of the Texas Local Government Code, the CCPD may hold an election on the question of whether to continue the District for 20-Years. The CCPD is a special purpose district created to generate dedicated funding from 1/2 cent sales tax for law enforcement and crime reduction strategies. See attached Order 26-01 translated in all 3 languages and a flyer explaining what the crime district funds . THIS IS NOT A NEW TAX OR TAX INCREASE. VOTING STARTS APRIL 20TH (SEE ENCLOSED NOTICE OF ELECTION)
